The NSW Health Commercialisation Training Programs presented by Cicada Innovations offers researchers, scientists, clinicians, and entrepreneurs working on medtech and biotech innovations a flexible, stage-specific approach that allows participants to join at any point.

One Day Seminars

We offer four full day seminars covering key topics essential to consider on your commercialisation journey. Each seminar is delivered by industry and healthcare experts covering the following topics:

Introduction to Intellectual Property: Tuesday, 13th August 2024

Regulatory Affairs: Tuesday, 27 August 2024

Clinical Trials: Wednesday, 28th August 2024

Navigating the Healthcare System: Tuesday, 10th September 2024

Customer Discovery

Date: Every Thursday, 9am - 5pm, from 8th August to 19th September 2024

Over 7 weeks (one day per week), you will learn the importance of Customer Discovery, a customer-centric, scientific process that tests assumptions about your product or business model. Working interactively in small groups, you will conduct stakeholder interviews to gather data and insights. You will also receive feedback from industry experts.

Business Fundamentals

Date: 5th - 7th November 2024

This three-day course provides practical advice to establish and set up your health tech business for success. From forming and structuring your company to building a great team, you will walk away with the knowledge of how to build and run a sustainable health tech business.

Specialisations

Health tech innovation covers many types of health and medical solutions, from physical devices to software and diagnostics. In the three-day 'Specialisation' courses you will learn how to take your sector specific solution to market and how to ensure the product is both compliant and successful.

Medtech Foundations

This free online learning course takes you through the building blocks of establishing a successful medtech or biotech business in NSW. Each lesson is taught by an industry leader and features case studies, useful resources, and activities to apply your learning.
